Most Boring - On Emptying A Bottle Of Tsuki-Yo

Apparently 'broken glass' has a meaning for you that I'm not aware of. Sorry for my lack of cultural sensitivity and knowledge. Didn't mean to say anything negative or hurt you in any way.

Perhaps you were thinking of Kristallnacht. Well, thanks for the consideration, anyway. I will continue to say wonderful things about you even though I didn't get an ink sample.

Sorry, but the "most boring" part I find is the ink itself. I had a (mis)fortune to order a bottle of Tsuki-Yo back in the days of my infatuation with Iroshizuku without trying a sample first, and after a year and a half, I've used it only 3-4 times.... However, the bottle looks great on the shelf!

No doubt, some of the Iro line is... boooring. I'm glad Amazon finally had those little 3 bottle samplers - I have 9 iro inks for the price of only a couple big bottles and found which ones I've liked and disliked. I still wish the ink wasn't so... wet? I don't know, it is wet, but it spreads oddly that only a few Noodler's ink I have seem to exhibit a similar quality.

Huh. Tsuki-Yo is a very strong contender for the Blue-Black among my Six Essentials, along with basic Pilot Blue-Black. But that's a decision I'm actually in no hurry to make. I may decide to just mix my own.

Well, I don't know how to explain it, but it looks kinda "dirty blue" as apposed to "black blue". It's not vibrant and it's not smooth.

Then again, everyone's different, so you really have to try it for yourself.

I feel that way about Syo-Ro. I saw a review and wanted it. I got the small bottle, but was underwhelmed by the color.

The one color I like in an ink that tries to be blue and green is De Atramentis Mint Turquoise.

It's funny how people are different. I really like Syo-ro and it's one of my favorite colors.

"Samples" ...right. That's what I thought we'd get from KaB, but to no avail.

I should give it another chance in a different pen. But you are right in how people's likes are different. I really don't like green peppers, but I'll eat things with buffalo chicken sauce. But green peppers, bleh.

Wow, the opinions of people! I loved my sample of tsuki-yo, bought a bottle, and while I waited for it to arrive I started using a sample of syo-ro, and now I can't decide which I like best .They're both muted and gentle and peaceful, one blueish, one greenish, both appropriate for business, with a hint of red sheen that strengthens when they've sat in the pen for a few days.

I envy you: you're close to the end of the bottle.

I find this color terrible boring and I don't know how I will ever manage to finish it...

Thats one of the really cool things about ink, not everyone is going to like the same inks you like. I love Tsuki-Yo and Syo-ro, in fact I just got a bottle of it yesterday and I am looking foward to my own ink bottle emptying. Part of what keeps me checking this out is how far he's gotten to finishing the bottle! I have a bottle of Levenger Gemstone Green I bought in 2002, It's still mostly full!

So space and time are linked together. As we are looking across space, we are looking back in time. The further and further away those stars are the further back in time you are looking. Now you are seeing a star that is say six thousand years ago. Imagine somebody at that star looking at us They would be seeing us as we were six thousand years ago. Which of those two is now? - Alan Parsons Project The Time Machine - Temporalia (Paraphrased)

Once finished, you should turn this bottle, all parts intact, into powder, mix it with tsuki-yo coloured resin and make a pen blank out of it. Then have one of the more reputable pen makers in Europe or the US to make you a pen out of it :)
