Most Boring - On Emptying A Bottle Of Tsuki-Yo

That Lamy's the real tease, drawing things out as long as possible :P

Bring on the Vac again!! http://vrouwenpower.nl/smilies/forumsmiley2574.gif

The vac is filled as well. For use at work. Just haven"t been doing much writing at work lately. ...

Sad news....

just emptied the voracious vac and went for filling 35... but the ink level is too low for the large Vac nib. So I filled the Vac with GvFC moss green. And I'll depend on the Lamy for the rest of the bottle of Tsuki-Yo

I remember on one of my first visits to FPN this thread had just started, maybe 1 or 2 pages long. I'm pleased it's still going a.

I did a Flex My Mod on an Ahab, that would fill the bill as the "insanely juicy nib on an eyedropper", just have to grease up the threads on the Ahab, take out the piston filler and now you have an eyedropper. I am sure that would put down a gush of ink.

I, on the other hand, have a broken Cerruti, which theoretically takes standard cartridges. Once the nib touches the paper, you get a feeling that it is Mr. Rorschach's pen. It is also capable of covering your hands, your pants, your dog, your kitchen, your bathroom and the neighbour's car in ink, and when you want to take the dreadful cartridge out of this diabolical pen of mine, you find out that the little cartridge of doom is still nearly full.

Most economical pen ever. I strongly recommend it.

I just discovered this amazing thread. I had seen KaB's signature before but had no idea there was a thread to go along with it. I just caught up to almost a year's worth of posts. it was kind of like when I marathoned the first 4 seasons of GoT and then there was wait. so much wait! Now there is ink-wait.

Actually a very interesting topic for me. I get through a large quantity of ink, but have 30+ bottles, so I never really see/know at what rate an individual bottle would go down. Obviously one could theoretically calculate how much each of your pens holds, but then there is minor spillages and ink on the section etc to think about. Much more helpful to see it in process so thank-you! :)

What do you write by the way? I mean, you really go through a lot, I mean A LOT of ink.

What are you using ink for? Just writing, or the occassional 'whisky 'n' ink'-shot? :P

I do write a lot indeed. Most for work. The vac is one of 3 pens I take to work. The vista is on my desk at home (also for work). What do I write? Notes during meetings, preparations for meetings, notes when meeting with clients, drafts for workshop programms, scedules for proposals, notes during interviews, ...

At least the hangover would be colourful :)

I'm a student by day and a writer by night so I get the feeling. I just couldn't bring myself to use one ink that much. Short attention span :P

filling no 35: the Lamy Vista 1.5 again. The Vac is running on GvFC moss green nowadays. Might try to convince my Sheaffer LegayI to shift from Diamine Grape to Iro for some time. I't a very wet pen with a factory stub... just not sure she's gonna like it...

I'm sure Tsuki-yo will look rich with tons of sheen from this nib!

Okay, change of setting. The Tsuki-Yo is now used in one of my two 'home' pens: a Lamy Vista 1.5 stub and one of the 3 rotation pens for work: a Sheaffer Legacy I with factory stub.

Filling that Sheaffer was the 36th filling:

That's exciting news. Can we ask for writing samples from the various pens you used during this project?

The praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards.

And as per repeated request, a writing sample:

From way back in the thread, although clearly we'll need one for the Sheaffer now too. Mind you, this thread gets dangerously exciting when writing samples start - I might have to go and lie down...
