Thanks Diderot :) Glad you liked it. When I saw this again in the post, it looks like the first picture has a bit of blue cast, don't you think ?

Yes, perhaps just a hint - at least on my monitor, but it does not alter the fact that it is beautiful.

I don't own a Pelikan. Never have, and never thought of buying one. Until now.

It might be the photography. :)

Well you better :D

well, since this thread is still alive and kicking, for those of us who are on the fence whether to go for the M1000, here is another picure that will hopefully tilt the balance towards the enigmatic bird.

Your photos will keep this thread alive as long as you want. My Pelikans have been grooming each other since I logged on and showed them your photos.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Teetering dangerously...

I'm caught between

closing my eyes, holding my nose and jumping in...

and putting my hands over my ears and yelling "na na can't hear you."

Do the former, you won't regret it. Pelikan makes some very nice pens.

Close you eyes and jump in :D , the Pelikans are already swimming and waiting for you , if you like to ease yourself in and dip a toe instead of a dive, try the M215 Lozenge (Rhombus) inexpensive, beautiful, workhorse. At least that's how I transitioned from the kid's section to the deep-end so to say; but I see you are brave, Go for it - an M800 or a M1000.

I missed this thread previously. That is a wonderful bird that you have there made all the more exquisite by your awesome photography. Makes me all the more envious as the M1000 is still the one major hole in my collection to date. I will look upon your photos and continue to dream. Thanks for sharing.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

There is no doubt that a guy like you needs and M1000 (and an M1005). I do like the springiness of the bigger nib, but for longer writing sessions, I prefer a smaller Pelikan.

Glad you liked the site. I have 1 or 2 birds roosting at home ;-). Actually just bought my 100th bird today. I think that calls for a beer after work.

You certainly deserve a beer for that. I had a Dos Equis with my burrito at lunch to celebrate—just in case. I was done with work for the day anyway.

Thank you ian1964, you are very kind with your words. Hopefully, i'll be able to upload a few more pictures of pens from another German manufacturer soon (hint : its not the snow-capped one) ;-) . Possibly a review to go along with it. Thanks again.
