Quote From Aristotle In Gothic Batarde

I found this in the mess that is my desk :-) I did this a while ago and thought it is worth sharing. My scanner is not cooperating and insists on this level of contrast.

This was written with somewhat diluted Noodler's Black that I like a lot for pointed pen work - it doesn't go on as dark when used with edged nibs though.

Thanks, Salman, for an excellent example.

Yours,
Randal

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

It is such a modern quote - it really is hard to believe that it was "penned" some two and half thousands years ago!

Your rendition it most stunning!

I like the slightly ragged edges of the letters - they make the whole thing look somehow more authentic - like it was really taken from an old medieval manuscript.

And the ink is wonderfully subtly shady.
