Blue Hour Mb Pens

Recommended Posts

There is a lot interest in the new Blue Hour Limited Edition Ink as per another thread on this Forum. There are now some images on the new companion MB Pen Line -- the Blue Hour -- on the Fahrney's Pen Website. I think the release date, at least for the US, is June 1. I have been looking forward to seeing this pen in hand.

Thanks for posting. I was hoping for a blue "precious resin"; I'll have to see the lacquer in person.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Sounds interesting. I could not find it on the Fahrney's website.

From the photos, the pattern reminds me a little of the Pilot Vanishing Point Carbonesque Blue.

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

Nice pens! Too bad Mb keeps refusing in aplying the colors and patterns of everything but the 149.

Thank you, That's what I did. I saw the pens but I was looking for the ink examples.

Thank you for the link. It looks to be along similar lines to Diamond Blue, which is what I was hoping as I liked DB quite a lot and rue its limited status. I will be checking on Blue Hour at the local boutique.

I like the color quite a lot, but have concerns about possible texture on the body. If the design is underneath the lacquer it will likely be my next Montblanc.

I agree with you. I am also concerned about the weight.

Thanks, interesting. Although, no Le Grand BP nor MP.

Opooh, the Fahrney's site does show a midsize ballpoint which looks fatter than the classic ballpoint size

The LeGrand rollerball and midsize ballpoint do look like they will be heavy. But I like the feel in hand (of regular LeGrands) when writing and can't get past how nice the textured blue lacquer looks. Ugh gotta start saving up!

Hi all, I don't know if this was posted yet, but pics of the Blue Hour Skeleton have finally hit the net. I don't think I'm allowed to post a link, but if you search for the pen on eBay you will see it in seller erfobay's store. The photos of the pen are in the sealed plastic, so there aren't any uncapped pics, but overall I preferred the renderings that were shared on the site a couple months ago. The pen is out of my budget either way :) but the finished product looks a little clunkier than what I thought it would look like based on the renderings.
