Here is one of my hand carved wooden dip pens. post-122693-0-04005600-1431563394_thumb.jpg This one is painted and has been given several coats of clear lacquer.

Good job! I'd be interested in how you carved the inlet for the nib. Are you planning to insert a metal inlet or is it carved as well.

I drill out the hole and make a custom aluminum spring to hold the nib in place.

I have been experimenting with different ways to hold the nibs. I also use the metal bands from pencil erasers as an external band to hold the nibs on some of my other models.
