I am literally just now finding out about this. I am going to the Dallas Pen Show, is there any way at all I can also attend the Pelikan Hub that's happening the same day? I think last year it was very nearby the Pen Show. I obviously didn't get to sign up in advance, but can the Hubmaster private message me or something so I can discuss details to attend (if that's allowed/OK)?

I think the meet up is in the evening, after the Show is done for the day (or at the very least, after you've probably seen all of the Day 1 show you want to see if you arrived early enough).

I'm going to be working at a dealer table (I'm with Salamander Pen Company). I'm hoping to be able to get to the meet up that night but I'm not entirely sure I will be able to, yet. It depends on where it will be, I suppose. I wish it would end up being in the same hotel as the Dallas Pen Show.

Guess I won't be able to make it then. I can't stay all day...

It might be earlier. I'm honestly not sure & cant find the confirmation email. Will search a bit.

It's all local time. This is happening all across the world, it would be ridiculous for everything to be going on at the same exact moment. 6PM in the UK is 11 AM in Seattle and 1 AM the next day in Singapore

I heard that it's being held at the same hotel as the Dallas Pen Show. The time is 6:30 p.m. My understanding is that it's limited to folks who registered by the July 31 deadline. No one I know who registered has heard from the Dallas Hubmaster though. :(

Awesome. So even if I could stay for it, I wouldn't be able to get in because I missed out on registration. Sigh.

I'm registered for the London hub. Just waiting to hear from the London hub master as to where it is being held and where to meet. Should be an interesting experience :)

I think if you just drop in on the day itself there shouldn't be a problem with your attendance. You just won't get any of the updates or freebies from Pelikan or the Hubmasters. That and the registration numbers are the ones they plan the event around. I honestly doubt you'd be turned away but the Hubmaster just won't give you anything for being there.

I honestly didn't expect to get anything for attending, I thought it was a very casual mini get-together for people with Pelikans. This is my favorite brand at the moment and I'd love to see a blue M405, among others.

Anyway, I *might* be able to plan the day differently, but we'll see. If anyone cares to say where it will be, I may try...if it remains hush hush then I'll just try to make the one next year.

If ScienceChick's info is right and it'll be at the Dallas Pen Show hotel, that'll be wonderfully convenient. Fingers crossed. I'm registered for the Dallas hub.

sirgilbert, there should be an exhibitor on the floor of the Show with a Blue M405. There are some real Pelikan fiends that come to the Dallas Pen Club meetings. You might want to ask in this thread if anyone's planning to bring one: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/293575-dallas-pen-show-2015/ .

Yep, I'll be there too! Anyone got any particular models they'd like to see in the flesh? I'd love to see a Polar Lights and a Sahara ...

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

Is it to late to be invited to the Pittsburgh event? I really missed the boat on this!!

You'd have to contact Pelikan, but I don't see why it would be.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to have sent out any info (so far) to the people who joined the Pittsburgh hub AFAIK -- and I have absolutely no idea who the local hub master is. At least a couple of us from Steel City Nibs have signed up for it, which I found out during the email discussions a week or two ago about what date works best for the next meeting.

I mentioned this to Ron Zorn over the weekend at DCSS, because he's in the area. He said he would try and contact he knows someone from Pelikan-USA.
