I was looking for another pruple ink next to my beloved J. Herbin Poussiere de lune. It should not be to feminin (what is feminin in Inks??? ;) ) or to pinkish like Pelikan 4001 Violet.

All written with De Atramentis Glass Pen

So I tried making one myself with the De Atramentis Document inks (CMYK)

Permanency

These Inks.... (oops scanner "bit" a piece of the paper)

These Inks are truly bombproof I have tested them wiht several aggresive fluids. Wiht Talisker Whisky and Connamara Whisky for an Irish FPN Memer... I Ate garlic and breezed on it... and It is even Methane-gas resistant but I will spare you the description how I tested that :lticaptd:

Verdict and Conclusion

This ink is well behaving. It is ver wet but ultra quickly drying less than 10 secends which makes this ink handy for lefties.

There is some show through due to it's permanency but this remains very acceptable. Bleedthrough is absent though so is feathering...

The Colour I very much like... Shading is only minimal.... But the saturation is deep and the deep Violet is beautiful...

Both The Herbin and the De Atramentis can be used for work in my opinion. the De Atramentis is suitable for officicial documents...

Love the colour.... Suitable for every day but wiht a little extra distinction

Regards

Peter

So this is a mix? Nice. Did you use the regular Document Blue or the Document Dark Blue?

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Great mix.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
