What To Do With A Counterfeit Lamy?

i can understand why you would want to scratch out the name on the pen, you would not want others later down the line to be tricked into thinking it was a real lamy, but it seems totally wasteful to destroy a working pen.

Amen. And are we SURE it's a fake? Really sure?

This!! Thank you!

It's such a waste to destroy it..

Thanks for the heads up. I bought some Safari Rb refills and a vista RB a month or so back. The pen looked and felt different but I didn't pay it too much attention but what concerned me was that the refills did not fit properly into the other pens we had.

Unfortunately, my wife did not test them until last week and she was complaining that they felt different and rough. Skipped a little. I wonder if I got fakes as well. I bought mine of ebay from hong kong.

So potentially fake pens and refills....

I think an interesting issue here is the ebay seller themselves. For all we know, they may be completely aware that they are selling fakes, and they issue a quick refund without even asking for the pen back in hopes that they won't get reported to ebay. ... it would be a shame if they got in trouble and they truly didn't know they were selling counterfeits.

If the seller has withdrawn similar items from Ebay, I guess that supports his innocence. If he is still selling them, both Lamy and EBay might be interested.
