Jinhao 599

Im thinking of getting a Jinhao 599 with a clear body, but want to have a fine nib in it. Does this pen take a #6 nib?

No it does not.

The clear plastic Jinhao 599s take a #5 nib - like the ones available from Fountain Pen Revolution (http://www.fountainpenrevolution.com). In my experience, though, the nibs that come with these pens would be on the fine side of Medium - and may be fine enough for you without needing to replace them.

They are available in Fine and Medium, certainly on ebay

There are different models of the Jinhao 599, one takes a standard #5 nib that is medium/fine, a second takes a nib like a Pilot V-Pen/Varsity and the third takes a fine semi-hooded nib.

 

However, the Hero 359A is available in EF, F and M nibs.
