Akkerman #22 Hopjesbruin

One of the most popular Akkerman inks. The beautiful bottles need no saying. It's for the bottles that I decided to order from the Netherlands.

Nice shading. I like its wetter part. It has a dark edge around it.

It is said that Hopjesbruin is Diamine Sepia (or Golden Brown?) rebottled.

Comparison

Comparing with some browns: Sailor Brown, Sailor Bung Box Nostalgia, Hopjesbruin, J. Herbin Lie de thé, Noodler's Golden Brown, R&K Sepia, Iroshizuku Yama-guri and Sailor Doyou.

Dude.. you make any ink look AMAZING!!!...

I originally was going to get this bottle (I organize a couple of Group Buys in Toronto).. but I saw some reviews of it comparing it to Diamine Sepia, so I pass. I don't remember my Diamine Sepia looking this good.... But you are a magician with ink.. ... I think I will give my Sepia a try... ;)

Thanks for an AWESOME review.... :D

I have this ink and find it does not work in all my pens. Would anyone tell me please: are these inks wetter or drier than most?

Thx in advance
