Recommended Posts

I own all De Atramentis Dokumententinten but yellow.

I made a testsheet with all of them an few other inks for comparison.

Inks on the sheet are:

De Atramentis Dokumententinte rot (red)

De Atramentis Dokumententinte braun (brown)

De Atramentis Dokumententinte fuchsia

De Atramentis Dokumententinte türkis (turquoise)

De Atramentis Dokumententinte dunkelblau (dark blue)

Schneider Viskoglide blau (blue) (Ballpoint pen)

-------------------"--------------(red)-----"-------------

-------------------"--------------(green)------"--------

Gelion 39 blau (blue) (GEL Ballpoint)

Lamy blauschwarz (blueblack) (iron gall ink)

R&K Salix (iron gall ink)

Noodlers's permanent black

Waterman Blueblack

De Atramentis blau (blue)

The Schneider Viscoglide green, blue and black are ISO 12575-2 refills, the Gelion is ISO 27668-2 refill.

The red Viscoglide ist only ISO 12575-1 but not ISO 12575-2, that means the red ist not for documents.

The sheet cut in 2 pieces and the part with "Fenster" (window) is on my bedroom window (west side) since 2015.04.11.

I added the last line (De Atramentis Dokumententinte blau) totday (2015.04.14)

I will post a news scan in a month

The testsheet is in the sunlight.

Mind the shadow of the sheet in the lower right corner of the pic.

Taken at ca. 14:30 MST.

Ok, first check.

The black lines unter "Lichtgeschützt" and "Fenster" is the black Dokumententinte from De Atramentis.

I added it after the scan from the Startposting but its from the same date.

Now it's April 29th 2015.

I can see some weak inks after 15 Days.

Most of them are holding up pretty well. I don't have any De Atramentis inks but I'm interested in changing that.

Seek that which is true, beautiful, and good.

The red ViscoGlide is not a ISO 12575-2 Ink, the black, green and blue are.

The writing "Fenster" and "Lichtgeschützt" are written with a Faber Castel "DOCUMENT" red, 9609.

I have several red and maroon shirts for dining at Italian restaurants. Every fountain pen user should wear navy blue trousers. It is very practical to have a smaller spouse, who paints, to use the old shirt as a smock.

Salix is a disappointment.

That Fuscia looks great.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Salix is a classic Iron gall ink with a additional dye.

The dye will fade of, the iron gall should resist.
