Here's a very unique ink from Noodler's named after the first emperor of China. It's slightly on the acidic side (while most every other Noodler's ink has a neutral pH), and meant to look like terra-cotta (I suppose; it seems too bright for that to me). It also glows under UV, but isn't terribly dramatic.

Picked up a bottle of this last winter, not realizing what it was (a sticker on the side of the bottle says "First Emperor"), because the regular Noodler's label is only in Chinese.

Not sure I would classify it as a red ink (more a magenta/pink color). Also, I seem to remember some early reviews in which it feathered really badly on cheap papers.

Thanks for the heads up in QSH's pH. I will have to remember that, and treat it more like an IG ink when flushing it out of a pen in future.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
