Here are some pics of my $1.50 Esterbrook (circa 1938) White Cracked Ice pen and pencil set. Pretty hard to find...cool 8668 Palladium nib too.

Thank you for your compliments! Just curious, I know the 8668 nib is magnificent, in Palladium, and the best writer I own, but what was the proper original nib(s) supplied with the upscale cracked ice pens? I might want to switch out to the proper nib.

The pen was made during the "flat-feed" nib era. They were called RE-NEW rather than Renew Point.

 

The point it most likely came with was a 9xxx series flat-feed. The 8668 is good, and if that's the way it came to you, the original owner probably changed out the 9x for that one during WWII.
