Bleu Reveur - Louis Vuitton

The LV USA site currently shows 12 inks:

> Bleu Reveur

> Vert Optimiste

> Rouge Gourmandd

> Rouge Libertin

> Bleu Sybillin

> Rose Espiegle

> Marron Epicurien

> Noir Magnetique

> Gris Romantique

> Brun Tenebreux

> Violet Malicieux

> Or Audacieux

Four of the 12 show "place in cart" while 8 show "call for availability" so it may be they are scaling back the line-up. That seems somewhat self-defeating, if so; I mean, why go to Vuitton just to buy basic black, blue or red? You can get those anywhere; it's the other colors that would interest me.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

The orange is incredibly difficult to source, and oddly its cheaper than the rest.

Have you seen it available in a B&M shop?

Yes, I've been on the US site. However, I've been advised it is not up to date.

The French site shows the same availability (or lack thereof). I wonder, if one calls the number given, whether the person answering would have the slightest idea what you're talking about. :P

I guess it would be worth a try if you're in France. :)

Not yet, I have it ordered at a couple of B&M locations, hopefully one will come through :)

Thank you. :) They are still being replaced in their small orange boxes at the moment.

I haven't found any reviews for Bleu Sibyllin. I believe it has replaced Bleu Rêveur. So it's still a dark blue/blue-black.

I have been advised that there are now only 3 colours in their range. Black Magnetiq, Bleu Sibyllin, and Rouge Gourmand

Thank you for letting me know! I might need to jump on the Bleu Sibyllin in case they change the range again.

PS There is one great writing sample that cargoblues posted on the site:

I don't believe Bleu Sibyllin is a replacement for Blue Réveur. I have both of them, and they both are listed on the web site. It would be a shame if LV abandoned their pen-and-ink venture. As with so many other products, the failure of a line usually can be attributed to the failure to make it available.

Bleu Sibyllin is not replacing Bleu Rêveur, it's a different blue much darker, almost black. My favourite blue/black.

Ditto! Bleu Sibyllin is definitely my favourite blue-black (I think). At least the darkest. There's also a hint of silver in it somewhere. A heck of a lot of inks today claim to be "blue-blacks" but those are "nothing else" than just a dark blue or, frigzample in the case of Parker's and Waterman's, unfortunately just a watered down turquoise-grey. Those latter two may even be identical, but that's another story.
