Hi FPN people, here's a little unboxing for the Hobo Spring 2015 edition, paired with One Star Leather's really beautiful cover in blue and brown Horween leather (embedded links):

The last picture is slightly blue-enhanced. The bookmark is an option available from the Techo store. Pen loop and other add-ons are available from One Star, who is an incredible leather artisan.

Enjoy!

Very Nice setup. People really like these Day planners/travel journals from Japan? I'm glad to see writing journals of any kind make a comeback in this age of the smartphone. They are the perfect accessory for fountain pen lovers. I imagine people use fast drying, water resistant inks for these? The leather work of the One Star cover looks brilliant. I actually like the blue tinted photo. It makes it look like a dark Navy color which would be an nice alternative to the typical black and brown.

It's interesting how these planners have made a big comeback. I was using a Day-Timer company planner (remember them) back in the early 90's up until the PDA became perfected. My iPhone was the final nail in the coffin for my trusty Day-Timer. I recently dug it out of storage and plan on using it as a pen journal etc. I looked them up and the Day-Timer company is still going strong.

"Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into are awake through the years with transferred touch and go on glowing for long years. And for this reason, some old things are lovely warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence

Thanks and yes these planners are especially popular with fountain pen and watercolor/sketch art enthusiasts as they use the wonderful Tomoe River paper. Good luck rediscovering your Day-Timer!

Yeah you reminded me I have been using it since mid or early Feb.. Really love it, still use my A6 size. I really love it even though I don't speak Japanese I get the symbols an decipher. I have the enlist version A6 in a Hobo expensive cover and the Techno A5 in a Rotenfaden. I agree with you, really love them and use both.....

Yes, thanks; I didn't realize how much I like bound journals; I used to use a removable pages system.

They're great planners and the cover you have is beautiful.

Thank you, One Star makes quality covers and the Cromexel Horveen leather is so durable yet soft.

What is this accessory with the slot in it? Is it a tissue holder?

Thanks for confirming that. I couldn't find it on the website and I'm pretty familiar with the Hobonichi accessories.
