What is happening here, and why?

As I recall the telling of the event at the time. TSA flight restrictions (as of the date in this photo), stated this amount of liquid in a container was not permitted aboard an airplane. Ackermann ink, more specifically This unique large glass bottle, with ball-dispensing design was new, and a highly prized pen show acquisition. The above action was the response to the disappointing news that the liquid, IN its original bottle, was not boarding the plane.

I believe that part of the exchange was that it was safe to drink the liquid in question and that the liquid was going on the plane on way or another.

 

She is still alive, although I thought that I noted a certain purple hue in her complexion the last time I saw her.
