Seitz-Kreuznach Pacific Blue

Recommended Posts

There is a NEW Ink Player out there. Seitz-Kreuznach is offering good value for their ink. In summary:

  • Most of them are medium-wet
  • Decent water resistance
  • Colors are vibrant.. except Flamingo Pink
  • Warning: with a broad wet pen, you WILL get show through and some bleed through

As you can tell.. it dries MUCH lighter than what it looks like originally. When wet it looked like a nice RICH dark Royal Blue... I am no fan of medium blues.. and I did like it. Until dry. Then is not much more different than a bunch of blues out there.

Hmmm this color reminds me a lot of the Williamsburg! Not too shabby but could be a bit darker. A tad bit of black may help it

BTW, did you get all these as bottles or samples? If you got samples, where can I pick some up?

I was rather hoping that at least one of their blues would be a deep, solid blue. Alas...

The Navy Blue is really sweet.... dark and mysterious.... Is more a blue-black than a Navy Blue.. but it has some serious water resistance...

Interesting colour, to me it sort of looks like Iroshizuku Ajisai? Thank you for all your great reviews.

The colour shift reminds me of China Blue. The dried shade does kind of resemble Ajisai without the red tint.

Me like!

I just recently discovered this ink (Pacific Blue) and I'm impressed with it. It is almost indistinguishable from Diamine Sapphire in the F and M nibs I've used but they perform differently enough that I am not convinced they are the same ink.

Cost per ounce and the smooth wet flow have made me a fan. Too bad there is such a limited color selection but I will try the Navy Blue version.

The excellent communication from the seller along with the quality and price of the ink makes it attractive and I hope they expand the range of offerings.
