Seitz-Kreuznach Tomato Red

Recommended Posts

Oh oh.. there was no spillage on my bottles at all... and I do not remember any cellophane on them.

I do remember my red being very bright red... so I think we have the same batch. The scan makes it look pinkish. I forgot to attach pictures. I'll try to do that tonight.

Thanks for the update. :D

THanks for sharing!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Checking on feathering and bleedthrough. None observed on either the Rhodia graph paper (80 g) or the Borden & Riley Paris Paper for Pens (108 lb.). But the ink does seem a bit dry, at least to me...

How does it compare to the DeA Salmon that you have inked up right now?

Well, the Tomato just seems a bit too dry for me, and the color dries so much pinker than I would have expected. I'm not loving it. The de A Salmon is a bit more fun, and doesn't have so many dry starts. So Salmon, by a fin. ;)

Those bottles...they seem ready to tip over at any moment...

Very true! Not the best design for ink in any way. I can see that I'll have to transfer most of the ink to other bottles just to get the nib down into the ink for loading. Interesting, none the less. Just wanted to see what they're like. But Arctic Blue was not available, and that was the one I was wanting to get!
