What Sized Nib For A Baoer 388

Hey there,

I have a question to all Boaer 388 owners. What sized nib can I use in a Baoer 388 as exchange? Maybe a Edison #5 or even a Goulet nib? I just know that the nib and feed are removable. The most chinese pens use standard sized nibs so it should work or am I completely wrong?

Best regards

The Baoer 388 takes a #5 nib.

My understanding is that the Goulet nibs are all #6 nibs. I'd presume an Edison #5 would work, but I don't know that for sure.

The xfountainpens site sells #5 nibs, calling them "K26". The 26 is a reference to the length of the nib in mm. (They also have #6 nibs that they call "K35". 35 is also a reference to the length of the nib in mm.)

Going from the measurements listed on the Fountain Pen Revolution site the nibs they sell as "#5.5" look like the measurements of a #5 nib, although the one they call a "#5" might work too.

There might be other places to get #5 nibs, but those are the ones I know of.
