My two cents:

Polished black Makrolon, with all metal parts, including nib, in rose gold.

Polished may scratch easily though. But the other features would be cool.

I would love gold accented Lamy 2000. Another, thing that I would love to have to see a new Lamy 2000 with a different nib like the dialog 3.

I think of my FPs as my children.

Hello,

A solid gold (22K will be awesome) lamy 2000 will be good in my opinion.

Best regards.

I would be all for a dark hardwood body. Or a white makrolon with gold trim.

Let's make it verrrrrrry expensive.

Let's make it verrrrrrry rare.

That way only a couple of people will actually buy one and they will be too valuable to ever use!

... something that respects the original design intentions for the pen, so anything exuberant or out of proportion would be an offense to the original design.

So not much room for a special version, considering that the stainless steel versions where already out of boundaries.

I would love a demonstrator version of the pen or could be a variety of colors to choose from: navy blue, brown, red?

I would put my vote behind that.

I'd like a fountain pen version of their blackwood ballpoint.

That would be consistent with something that's pre-existing, to preserve the posterity.

It would not be a major design departure.

Stainless Steel Fountain pen is already quite heavy, but I've gotten used to it.

The wood-based option would not be very weighty.

And the prices need to be in the reasonable range too. The stainless steel version was already a bit too extravagantly priced.

That's just my opinion on the matter.

I could totally see them doing a smoke grey colored Makrolon edition. That would be hawt.

Stealth black would mean some kind of coating on the metal bits though, and that kind of finish would show wear significantly faster than the Makrolon...especially on the section where the cap clutch grips it.

I'd still like to see a titanium version. Scared what the price would be though...

Lamy seems to be getting ready for a release as the birthday of the Lamy 2000 arrives.
