Well it`s a ladies fountain pen, so in my book it can`t be worth more than 100-150. Of course, i could be wrong. Sell it on ebay and let us know. ;)

No,it is not an English Duofold with 51 cap. It is a French made la plume double aerometric pen with its origial cap. Follow the link in my earlier post for fotos. Value not known. To me that is. Someone else may come in with more information about the pen.

Here's the filler

Yes, it is a French made la plume "double" aero filled pen with its original cap. Value around $ 50/60.00. May be I am wrong as far as the value is concerned. Let somebody else shed light on the value question.

Yes, it would appear from the photos and description to be what is commonly termed a Parker 'La Plume'. Personally, I think this is a misnomer - as the term simply means 'the fountain pen'. I think these are better described as French Duofolds. They came in a variety of finishes and sizes and, unlike the English Duofolds produced during the same era, gold filled/rolled gold versions were manufactured.

Incidentally, the 'Double Or Lamine' at the base of the caps simply states that they were manufactured from gold laminate, aka Rolled Gold, Gold Fill.

The value you suggest is about right, perhaps a little high, depending on size of pen, condition etc.

I have an English aero filled Fuofold (slimfold) of the same section, nib size , barrel color and filler but that is with plastic cap. Mine is an NOS and a great great writer. Here:

  • 1 year later...

I think this is in the same La Plume family, marked Double Or Lamine, but none of my research indicates they made one with a rolled gold cap and barrel....

Here some examples of French versions of UK Duofolds:

- upper line - standard versions

- bottom line - pens with gold caps: 2 Junior size pens, Slimfold size pen, 3 Lady size pens (all signed as PARKER; Reg. Trade; Made In France) and Victory Mk. V. And Lady pen with gold cap and gold coat on barrel.

The Lady pens have open nibs (not hooded like in UK Duofolds)
