Oh my goodness, the IG Orange is magical. A delicious orange peel orange darkens in seconds in front of your eyes. I can't quite tell what it darkens too, but to my eyes it's not too different from my Noodler's Walnut (a favourite of mine). Perfect.

PICS... PICS !!! Or it didn't' happen... From before and after.... After sometime.. it darkens to a luscious olive brown (better than Walnut IMHO) :D

Here's a poor attempt to capture the changing of the IG Orange. By the time I've dropped the pen and picked up my camera the freshest orange has already gone.

I'm still only using it with a dip pen at the moment (Leonardt General nib in case anyone is interested) hence the gushing of ink onto the page. Thinner, more consistent ink will show a brigher orange.

All my fountain pens have been freshly filled, so there isn't an obvious candidate for emptying, cleaning and filling with the KWZ ink.

Ok, so I bit the bullet and flushed out my old Sheaffer Imperial 440.

And comparison with Noodler's Walnut (allowing the IG Orange to cure). Different pens, but both medium nibs. Unlike what I thought earlier, the two inks are very different. The IG Orange is rather special.

Sideways picture but you get the idea. Writing with these inks is so lovely. If anyone has any Grey Plum to spare let me know :)

Wonderful pics, and I like the clean simple bottles.

Any word yet on the USA arrival of the inks?

Part of the fun of these wonderful inks is literally watching the color shift right before your eyes. Now I want the Mandarin....

That means I may finally see some of my new inks... YES I TOO AM EXCITED... sorry - did not mean to shout - but with my FPN inks and mystery and other goodies package seemingly lost in Canada, I could not help myself - at least these will go to my remailer so that should not be too difficult. Costly, yes, but they will eventually reach me. Eventually.

I'm in Group 2. So I still have to wait longer.... :crybaby:

WAAANT! MUST HAAAAAAVE!!!

So which is it? IG Orange or IG Mandarin? (I got lucky and another batch of the IG Mandarin was made up just as I was ordering; but not lucky in that Grey Plum wasn't....)

The one on milkb0at is IG Orange.. the one in strictlyobiter is IG Mandarin... and if you have come to the Toronto Pen Show... you would have experienced the best IG's and the best Australian Powder Inks... first hand... :P

P.S. Package2 must be just behind. They were both stuck in customs in New York.. I am sure Package2 will be release shortly.

Yes, sorry. I should have listed the inks. I was too excited  The inks I have are IG Green Gold, IG Mandarin and #3 Violet.

It really is fascinating. Some of my students today were completely captivated!

My ink is IG Mandarin Ruth, you will not be disappointed!

Personally I am kicking myself I didn't order more inks when I had the chance to. Not only are the colour shifting properties of the IG inks extremely cool, the inks are very well behaved and flow so deliciously.
