Is The Sailor Highace Neo Suitable For A Student?

Hi!

I've been looking for a good pen for myself. I write a lot, and usually destroy my pens, and I have small hands so I like slim pens.

The Highace Neo is available locally for $13. I really like it's fine nib. But the metal and plastic parts just "clash" for me.

So would it be suitable for me? Is it comfortable when writing for a lot of time? Should I use converters or cartridges (I use up a Platinum cartriidge, 1.1 ml, in two days)? If converters, what kind of ink?

Has someone got a long-term review of it? Any tips, tricks? Which colour is your favourite?

Thanks!

This is a student pen indeed. You can use this with a Sailor converter if you refill every day, it's is going to be cheaper for you. You can use it with any ink, I have never heard of ink trouble with Sailor brand. If you want some waterproof ink for school use try Pilot Blue, but beware because it leaves a blue film in some converters that can only be cleaned by scrubbing. I thought of getting one of these, but the design doesn't appeal much to me, and the Sailor converter will add some cost to this pen.
