Thanks for this great info Fozziebear.

I'm using this method now to determine how much ink I have left on my L2K. :)

Cheers

My Pleasure to you and @Tas. I'm glad you find it useful.

Cheers.

My ink-swap post(s) become out of date eventually. My signature is always current. If you want to swap some ink, here's what I have: Diamine: Ancient Copper, Oxblood, Poppy Red, Red Dragon, Sherwood Green; Iroshizuku: Kon-peki, Ku-jaku, Take-sumi; Noodlers: 54th Mass, BSB, Purple Martin, X-Feather, Widow Maker; Private Reserve: Blue Suede. I'm partial to highly saturated inks, but am open to suggestions. PM if interested.

Oh my.

OH MY!

What a pen.

I've not even gotten round to inking it up yet, just the sound and feel of the cap clicking on and off is making me a little giddy

I was planning to not ink the thing until Christmas to give me something pen related to look forward to. Nah. Mont Blanc Midnight Blue (original formula to compliment the approx age of the pen - mine has 18k nib and an L on the top of the body but no real idea of its actual age yet)

As I mentioned to an FPN friend yesterday - I'm holding the Lamy in my hand, looking at a LOT of other pens in my pots and on my desk and thinking, hmmm . . .

This is a game changer in so many ways.

Turning it sideways and letting the ink settle, will give you a very good representation of how much ink is left in the pen. Currently, my 2000 shows no ink when nib up and full ink when nib is down. Turning it sideways, the reservoir fills halfway. My pen is not in any danger of running out of ink.
