Two Pens: Alumilite W/ Nickel Silver And Purple Web Celluloid

I thought I would post a couple of pens I finished recently. The nickel silver with green alumilite is a pen with a certain amount of weight for those liking a heavier pen. The material is custom cast by Bob Dupras. The pen is 157 mm long capped, uncapped 119mm; it doesn't post. The body Diameter is 16mm. Finials and cap tenon are turned from Nickel Silver. The celluloid pen is Purple Web Celluloid from American Art Plastics. The pen is 158mm capped, 114 uncapped; body diameter is 15mm. I don't recommend posting.

Bob is a mystic of alumilite blank casting. He has made some pretty nice blanks for me. BTW, congrats on your recent decision; I look forward to seeing great things.

Is it possible to make a fountain pen, nearly all out of wood?

I would like to try this. Could you point me towards proper nibs and sections, and threads for the cap? Of if there would be a high quality method for making threads in the wood, I would like to practice this. I've found that the pen kits I can buy are "cheap" and I would like to find methods for making something higher quality.

taps/dies - also at silver pen parts or just google some standard taps/dies - 36tpi or .75mm pitch are good.

I would like to make high quality threads from the wood blank. Is this even possible, or do you need to use acrylic?

acrylic or something else for threads. Wood is better for barrels and caps - as sleeves or closed ended sleeves.
