Well blood is red, so how can you avoid a red ink that doesn't look like blood?

I wonder if mercurochrome would sheen? (I have a bottle. Apparently mom's still use the stuff.)

Even fresh blood is darker than what I was looking for. I wanted something more like fire engine red. A "right smack in the middle of the color wheel for red" red. Or the color of my first car: a 1984 Dodge Omni (the color was called "Graphic Red" that model year). Something like this one (although mine was of course not the macho turbocharged version this one is): http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/2007/07/01/hmn_feature18.html#PhotoSwipe1424314302784

It's a color that as a "Light Summer" (for anyone who followed the "Four Seasons" Palette of figuring out what colors you looked good in, which was very big in the 1980s -- later expanded to 3 sub-palettes for each season) I just cannot successfully wear. I can do berry-toned reds (reds that lean blue), but not true red; They just don't look good against my skin tone and hair color. So, perversely, I'm drawn to the color. :wallbash:

Can't wear tomato red either, but nothing induces me to want to.... ;)

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Thank you for the review!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
