Hi everyone,

I've decided to buy a Blue Kaweco Classic Sport with a Gold Deluxe clip and Diamine Blue Velvet but , I was just wondering what nib is smoother the fine or extra fine and is the fine fine enough to use on crappy paper ?

Thank everyone

I bought an Ice Sport in extra fine but didn't like it. It took a lot of nib adjusting (I had just started on my fountain pen journey then) before it would write like I like it.

Mine is an F. Writes smoothly on everything from Rhodia to toilet paper.

"how do I know what I think until I write it down?"

I love my "F" Kawecos (every single one, in fact). Have you tried the Bronze Lilliput? They are great little pens and even more indestructible than the Sports. When I have some money, I will get the new Lilliput, the Fireblues, which have a metal body that has been overheated and turned the metal into different colors. Really neat!

I've got two Kawecos; one EF and one F. The EF feels different to the F, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's scratchy.

So I decided on the fine in blue and got my sister in law a medium in red. They are both smooth but the medium is substantially smoother and wetter. However I'm happy with my fine, it is better suited to my needs of writing on cheap paper. Thanks for all the help
