"bulletproof" Blue Suggestions

Surprised it hasn't come up, but check out the De Atramentis document inks. They are permanent and adhere to ISO standards for that. They're also fairly easy to come across, and appear to be fairly well behaved, at least from the reviews (which there are several of on fpn).

Mafia, I am with you, I really like the DeA Doc inks. Finding the Yellow has been a challenge. The Doc inks are my go to mixing inks. Adding a dash of Doc ink Turquoise or Magenta to any other ink improves the flow and water resistance of any other ink. If you have an ink you like but it is a tad dry and not water proof at all, add a dose of Doc Ink. I am so happy with the two inks I tend to gush.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Now, HDoug has decluttered and even deinked from hundreds to perhaps 20. So, his recommendations carry weight.

I've been using this for the past few years. Well behaved and quite water resistant.

Doug

Is the pigmented ink hard to clean or staining? I always stayed away because it's pigmented, but if amber trusts your opinion, I'm curious...

How does it compare to let's say bulletproof black. Or maybe 1670 Rouge hematite (the good kind that sheens). Or maybe what other ink would you compare it to for its ease, or lack thereof, for cleaning. Maybe I have it lol.

Have you left it in a pen for a while? Results on difficulty of cleaning?

Thanks and sorry for so many questions.

-Stefan
