Faded and chalky :/

I saw the video last night while looking up the one for the new "Charlie" pen that is a limited edition eyedropper (for now -- that may change), which will be put in with bottles of Heart of Darkness; while I'm not much for black inks to begin with, I might just try and track down a bottle of HoD just on general principle.

As for Park Red, I loved the idea of the label design. The ink, OTOH, I'm going to reserve judgment on until I see reviews, or (once it becomes available) try a sample of first. This is because I picked up a bottle of Qin Shi Huang over Christmas, not realizing what it was (Bromfield Pen Shop has a label that says "First Emperor on the bottle because the label only gives the name in Chinese). And does that stuff STAIN.... I don't think InkNix is going to work on my bathroom vanity countertop all that well without scraping the finish.... And I've been splashing enough ammonia solution around that trying to wipe off the stains with bleach sounds, well, dangerous.....

In the posts below the video, someone asked Nathan Tardif whether Park Red was (IIRC) bulletproof, but apparently it isn't

Well I just ordered a bottle. Red is not a common ink color for me but the label alone is worth it to me. The ink looks fairly dark at the Anderson web site, so well see how it looks in reality.

Let the countertop dry for a couple of days to make sure all the ammonia is gone and you should be fine. Just check and make sure you can't still smell any ammonia before applying the bleach. I'd moisten a corner of a paper towel with the bleach and try it to see if it removes the stain first.

 

If the bleach doesn't work, you could try Amodex. I've had good luck with it, and it doesn't have harmful chemicals in it.

Try rubbing alcohol (70% isoprobyl alcohol) on your counter top. It removes many stains, particularly from Formica/Wilsonart type countertops.
