King Konrad's Old Gold

Dear FPN Friends....

I recently received a whole bunch of ink samples from Konrad Polish Ink King*

Ink King is not a wrongly spelledverb about a man from Polandfilling up his Fountain Pen

It directs to the utterly friendly Polish (soon to be Dr in Chemistry) Konrad of KWZI inks... As I understand from that other great Polish Man you allmight Know... Visamitra (check out his very cool reviews :excl: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/user/92134-visvamitra/ :excl: )

making ink for Konrad is only a hobby now.

Some of you might know that I m a great fan of De Atramentis.... I even give D-A reviews an own Tag...Lovely Liquids....

Well I have written with some of the excellent KWZI inks.... They disserve an own label too....

KWZI Polish Treasures..... (will tag my future KWZI reviews with this label)

Why Is that???? Checkmy first KWZI review down here

Colour

Old Gold.... Greenish with a golden Hue. It reminds me a bit of J. Herbin's Olive Green... JUst that the colouris much deeper much richer and more er.... goldish :)

Interesting color. Not sure it's to my taste, but it's definitely interesting -- is it an iron gall ink or one of Konrad's regular ones?

Thanks for the review. And I quite agree that his inks (at least the ones I've tried so far) are pretty awesome. I have four more on order and a couple that I also want to try.

Huh, my bottle seems hardly green, mostly yellowish brown.

This looks like it could be somewhere in between KWZI's Green Gold and Old Gold.

King Konrad's Old Gold

I am sorry Peter. I believe this is Konrad's Iron Gall Gold or KWZI #83. (Unless the scanned picture is not correct)

KWZI #57 is Old Gold, which is a standard ink, not Iron Gall and does not get as dark as appear to have black shading.

Great Review. If you want to check more of his inks, follow my link in my signature. ;)

Wonderful review!
