Black N' Red A5 Hardcover Notebook For $3 On Amazon

Just last week our local Office Depot had the A5 wirebound for only $3.00!!!

I notice this happens sometimes toward the bottom of a page- and I am guessing it has to do with the oil from my hands getting all over that part of the page before what I'm writing gets to the bottom. I need to get a plastic sheet of something to use as a hand rest when I write!

 

 

I have the same issue and I just use normal copy paper under my hand to protect the writing surface.

 

This folded piece of copy paper also acts as a bookmark in my notebook.

 

I've gone one further and written the word "hand" on the one side so that I will always expose that side to my palm and the other side always touches the writing surface. That way there's no cross pollution of the hand-oils causing my pen to skip on the page (I hate that)

For the price you cannot beat the Black N' Red notebooks. I use them in all my classes and at work. I myself prefer the hard back notebooks(they are a little more durable in my bag). The paper quality might not be the same as Rhodia but when I can buy 3 Black N' Reds for the price of one web notebook I'm sold.

I see the price of the item (link provided in the original post ) has gone up from $3 to $10 on amazon.

 

I'm glad I jumped on it when I did.

Noticed the price hike - I spotted a similar deal a month or so ago on amazon UK, £1.5 each but when I went back to order more than the 5 max they would sell me the price had jumped 300%

I think they do odd items occasionally at a loss until lots of people start adding them to their baskets

Amazon has again slashed prices on their twin-ring spiralbound notebooks in A5 and A6 sizes.

And the paper is very FP friendly (no Tomoe River, but it holds its own against the Rhodias and the Clairefontaines of the world).

Absolutely fantastic! I was hoping to pick up another A5 version of that, since I liked it so much last time. I'm going to have too many B&R notebooks soon (is that possible?).
