Khyati Sketching Pen

I've read about this being the problem with eye-droppers, but the other EDs dont seem to do this even when the ink is only half. This pen seems to do it even when full!

Did you try heat setting the nib&feed?

Mine is at 1/4 full now. No problem of burping yet.

Very nice sketch.

I've been using it since I've received it, apart from the very thin line that it provides, I must confess that there are absolutely no other advantages to it. I've had trouble fixing the problem of blobs of ink dropping on the paper while using it (Burping isn't it?).

So far I've been using it as a dip pen.

However, even for sketching, cant say how added benefit this "sektching pen" may give over a comparably better fountain pen.

I think its a marketing strategy. Selling something old by a new name.

I'll try it later tonight. I've seen a few guides here on FPN on heat setting, anything in particular I need to keep an eye out for with these pens?

FPN guides are very good.

Before heat setting, clean the nib and feed thoroughly. Cant think of anything else.

Sorry about reviving an old thread, but I'm happy! Managed to fix it finally! No more burping.

Edit: The blotting is from the paper, it worked fun ne on slightly thicker paper and produced pretty fine lines too.

Khyati sketch pen ebay seller has finally managed to sell and ship abroad, I ordered a set of two wich took quite a while to be delivered to France. The pens are well made, certainly by hand on a lathe, the ebonite is mate has no dents or scratches or any flaw, the only weak part is the nib I swapped for a flex FPR.The nib itself equals the price of the two pens, but the ink flow is right, and the girth of the pens, between ahab and neponset from noodler s, makes them a confortable tool for drawing.A real deal, for that price how can they make any profit ?

I have 2 of them. One black, and 1 Brown.

They had the same problem with burping, but I have changed their feed, and they work perfectly.

Very nice little pens.
