How Many Pens Do You Own?

Recommended Posts

Just started my FP obsession about a month ago. So far I've purchased a Lamy Safari (Black), Lamy Vista, Jinhao 5000 "Year of the Dragon", Faber-Castell e-Motion Stealth, and a Visconti Van Gogh Midi. Haven't inked up the Jinhao or Faber-Castell but I love the other pens so far.

About 45 that work. Another 15 or so to be repaired, a box of corpses I dare hardly count and about a dozen on the way - I bought three this evening. Oh yes, another one's out for specialist repairs.

About eight are going up for sale in the next day or two. I MUST SELL MORE PENS (but I keep saying that - I sold eleven last weekend)

And I have rather too many pencils as well (13 all old ones).

Present number is 89. I am currently taking a FP sabbatical, and will try hard not to purchase another pen for 6 months. :( During that time I will get an opportunity to use more of the pens in my collection. I'm hoping I don't succumb to this 'addiction.'

30 - just counted, adjusting for the ones I recently gave away.

Of those 7 are Chinese, and 3 are Indian, all of which are decorating a cup on my desk and nothing more.

Of the 20 left, 3 are duplicates (Reform 1745)

So in the 'use' pile there are 18 candidates - 12 are inked currently.

Cost range for all pens is $2.37 to $100, with the bell curve shifted below the $50 mark.

92, give or take one or two...

I have about 40 on my table that need repair. 15 that are functional and will be listed for sale soon. Another 15 that are repaired but far too "user grade" to fetch any money, they will be PiF'd. And about 10-20 in my personal collection.

About 12 pens are on my desk.

I may have more.

I have always loved pens, but have only very recently gotten into FP's. Got my first over Christmas, and now I'm up to a total of 5.

Blue TWSBI Classic (F)

Before the FP's, my favorite pens are ballpoints. A Felhoelter TiBolt (my ED pen), and old faithful, a Parker Jotter.

I have only 8 pens inked. Don't ask how many aren't. For every pen I sell I somehow get two others to celebrate reducing the collection.

I'm actually intending to get a pen to use exclusively with red ink - for correcting stuff since I just got a lovely bottle of Pelikan 4001 Brilliant red. Thinking of getting one of Herbin Hematite. Looks nice, though I hear it's not so good when actually used...

I own too many pens. Currently I'm at 36, not counting the cheapie disposables.

On a happier note, 12 of those pens are Noodler's pens.

I need to give some more pens away. And I'm embarrassed that I still have an interest in buying a few more pens.
