THe seller thought so, but hadn't pulled the corks to find out.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

And DTT? Or is that a separate shipment for those of us that sent money?

Can we also just get some ink powder ourselves? You could just put some in a vial. Would that work?

But very exciting!

Can't wait to take chemistry, then I'll finally be able to understand all of this Top Secret Ink info, who knows, I may even learn how to track down politically incorrect ink geniuses who have unhealthy obsessions with catfish.

The DBS Dromgoole's (Texas) Blue Steel , not a powder is one of my absolute favorites Beautiful color, great shading, excellent behavior, good saturation, a few seconds drying time. I think it's got the Noodler's lube smoothness, runs to the wet side in many of my pens. Great every day runner and probably will be good at work.

Available from Dromgooles pen shop. They have great phone ordering service and reasonable shipping (not affiliated)f course Amber turned me on to it.

I've got to learn to post photos in reviews

I may need to have a look.

The Blue Steel is not working well for me in my Pilot Custom 74, but to be fair that nib acts kind of funny sometimes. I think it is too soft, and the tines are too tight when not flexing. It has some issues with feathering on cheap paper.

I've asked Amber and she has suggested I defer to the collective wisdom and experience of the Superpinks on this.

What do you think of selling ink in Nalgene HDPE 15, 30 and 60ml wide mouth bottles? Is 15ml too small?

Personally I have a preference for ink in glass bottles. I just like the look and feel of glass. But from a selling perspective there are too many advantages to the Nalgene to ignore. Despite this, the most important thing is what fountain pen users prefer.

I'd really appreciate any comments, observations and opinions.

Nalgene would be fine, if after testing we determine the specific bottles do not leak, allow evaporation, smell, or release any chemicals into the ink. If it were the same price, glass obviously gets my vote.

Nalgene are just fine. However, glass definitely has a luxury factor, so that would always be a plus. Also, I do feel that 15L is a bit less.

I like the 30 and 60 ml size wide mouth nalgene bottles, and it would reduce the cost of shipping, which for me would be a significant factor. The downside of these bottles is they are easier to topple than glass...

If it's purely a matter of preference, I vote for glass. As long as the nalgene bottles are transparent, that's a good second choice.

Actually... amber bottles are better for ink. Protects them from UV rays.

Kevin. I will say there IS a market for 15ml bottles. Good for traveling, (and shipping) and because nowadays there are SOOO many beautiful ink colors out there, people feel hesitant to buy bottles of everything they like.. (I mean those 50ml/80ml bottles can last a long time).. but if you offer 15ml/30ml I am sure it will sell. I mean, most times 2ml samples if just not enough. ;)

Glass is preferred, but plastic would not stop me from purchasing an ink I wanted. 15 ml is a size I'd buy as it's a great bridge between full bottles and sample vials.
