Esterbrooks And Airplanes?

Lymnour

Recommended Posts

I've traveled with fountain pens before and haven't had any problems, but I'm wondering if there's anything I need to be careful of with an Esterbrook? Do you think I'd have a problem if I traveled with it full?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but my previous experience is only with cartridge fill fountain pens so I want to be sure.

Thanks for any help or advice you can give!

No problem full or empty. If there is ink in the pen make sure to keep it stored nib up during ascent. Do not try to use it during the ascent lest your normally well-behaved Estie burpeth forth blobs of ink as the air in the sac expands. If you try using a fountain pen while the plane is descending it may skip or act dry. Using them while in level flight is fine.
