As long as you have the space for it.

I'm still trying to figure out where to put mine when it arrives.

You're welcome, Djehuty!

I was happy to see that the price had dropped to $39.99. For that, I think it's worth grabbing another--space provided.

Indeed! Jewelry, pens...calligraphy supplies....it's very versatile, and looks great. It's not hardwood, so may require more care (the one I saw in Costco had some wobbly parts), but I'm pleased with it. Just saw one that looks identical (but with some pen dividers added) in the FPN classifieds section for $400.

Just bought mine yesterday. Fantastic bargain. Only had to pay a $2 nonmember fee.

So how do you folks organize your pens in one of these? I have some plastic, felt-lined pen trays, but I'll need to cut them to fit, and they're (of course) not quite the right size to fill any of the drawers completely. I'm also looking at this and thinking it has space for paper and such in addition to inks. So... any ideas? :)

There is another thread about this box on FPN and there are photos and thoughts on the subject. I followed a recommendation by Aandrew (sp?) about making accordion pleats out of cardstock and putting them in the drawers. I like that idea better than getting the pre made pen slot/liners because the latter always looks chopped up when you cut them and probability is that they won't fit exactly . Card stock expands and contracts to fill the space you need.

However, there is the problem of the larger drawers which are too wide for cardstock, and one guy thought you could make up a divider of cloth, sewing them yourself. That sounds like a possible idea.

Link to other thread? Trying to find out about these accordion pleats.

Most hardware stores and home centers (and wooodworking shops) have drawere dividers and organizers for toolchests. Look for diviers and orgainzing systems in the jewelry sections of stores like Bed Bath and Beyond.

I ride a recumbent, I play go, I use Macintosh so of course I use a fountain pen.
