Anyone Have A Ringtop Escape?

I work at a job where I sometimes have to take physical notes or draw pictures away from my desk, so I've gotten into the habit of wearing a ringtop fp on a lanyard. It's distressing, therefore, to notice how easily my 52 1/2 v unscrews itself from its cap and drops off. I lost a very valuable pen of another make some months ago and it makes me wonder if this has happened to anyone else? Judging from the large number of caps on ebay, I suspect this happens a lot, but I also notice that pens from the 30s and 40s seem a bit less prone to the problem.

Experiences, anyone? Please share your pain, or any methods you have for keeping cap and pen together.

Force, my Norton AV says that link is to a known malignant site, so I have disabeled it/hidden the post.

Sorry about that

I have had the same for both my 52 1/2 ringtops (a red ripple and a red). It happened a couple of times with each, fortunately they didn't land on the nib, but it got too much of a habit.

I use my Wahl red ripple ringtop instead as it does not unscrew when carried around on a lanyard.....

Interesting, since my expensive misfortune was with a Wahl. One or two more threads on the cap might have done it. I'll look into those pouches...one can always use another piece of thing.

My subsequent strategy has actually been to avoid paying a ridiculous amount of money for something I can lose without even noticing.

A little investigation suggests that the pouches they're making for e-cigarettes are about the right size.
