Gorgeous. Glad all could be made right. Congrats on getting your pen back!

And a new bottle of ink, just for this pen:

This is just so beautiful. I'm happy just by look at how good it is now, recovered and shiny.

A very wise choice indeed.

Happy to have her back.

Here she is with the M700 Toledo:

That's quite a story. Are you willing to say how much it cost?

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I don't mind.

I paid $450 for the pen knowing that it had the damage.

It may have been too much, I don't know as I was unable to gauge price due to the oddity of the scenario.

When I contacted Pelikan warranty I let them know I was not the original owner and I was willing to send the pen in for the repair estimate.

There was no cost for the repair, just the customary $50 shipping fees that cover shipping to Germany, then back to me.

You got a tremendous deal on that pen! Thanks you for sharing your story.

Brilliant, Lisa! Obviously, you don't doubt that you made the right decision now? (Thanks to everyone who chided you for <thinking> of converting it to...I daren't even say the word(s)! Roller-something? (What is that, anyway?)) :D

I'm drooling for the price you got. And from the beauty of the pen, i think i need to get myself a toledo someday.

Congrats to you, Lisa. A happy ending indeed.

Just out of curiosity, did Pelikan replace the cap with the gold logo cap or black logo screen cap?

Regards

Daeng

Correct, no doubts now! Thank goodness I created this thread and sided with the wisdom of the forum.

The cap wasn't repaired/replaced, they returned my pen with my cap that has the the black logo screen cap.

Oh, Lisa -- you do know, don't you, that you will be getting all sorts of hell and bad karma from people in this forum if we <ever> see this pen for sale at seven or eight hundred dollars?! :D (I suppose <more> is its worth, now???) ;^)

No worries there, this pen is going into my daily rotation!

I suppose I'd only ever consider selling it if I fell on hard times, which I am hoping doesn't happen.
