Pelikan will not repair but change the whole new barrel and re-insert back the old sleeve.

daenghafez, that will make me happy.

I feel bad now thinking about the rollerball conversion...good thing I came to my senses. Thank you all who talked me out of it.

But keep your finger cross as to whether they have replacement for the turning knob (if the knob has inserted gold disc), should the knob is damaged too..

Thank you all who have clicked in and made a comment.

Restoring to original could be an option, but since I have a Toledo 700 FP, I figured it would be nice to have a rollerball.

I dont think you can request for a change to a rollerball as Pelikan never issues a Toledo rollerball. Those in the market was a prototype toledo rollerball pen which managed to sneak its way to the market.

I am having it repaired to original condition as a fountain pen.

While very rare, there are old-style R900 Toledo rollerballs.

The story I have is factory workers made them from rejected bindes for themselves.

I have one, and it's obvious the binde finish is a little "off."

Pelikanyo, I'd love to own an R900, most likely a needle in a haystack trying to find one.

As for my M900, it's safely in the hands of the Pelikan people. Might be up to 3 months of wait time.

Good news, my Toledo is in route back to me after a two month spa vacation in Germany.

Gratuitous refurbishing was performed.

I'll post pics when she's in hand on July 1st.

Great, can't wait to see how she is recovered in Mama Pelikan hand.

Thank you both.

I'm following the UPS tracking and right now she's in Hodgkins, IL making her way to Calif.

I have a bottle of Pelikan ink waiting. :)

Can't wait to see what she looks like after a trip to the spa. I'm very jealous!

Thank you sargetalon.

My camera batteries are charged up, can't wait for the photo shoot.

It's like I'm getting the pen for the first time.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.
