Great printing, Joe! And how 'bout that sheen!

Thanks! The sunlight really brings it out. You can even see a little sheen on the BSB.

That is one beautiful pen and it pairs well with the Midori too.

Fab picture of Rambo. 😉

But, in the spirit of the thread's title, where's the pen?

I've only recently discovered that there's fun to be had with Diamine registrars ink.

I have it in 3 different pens, and it looks different with each pen when put to paper.

Change the paper, and everything changes again.

Magical stuff.

Finally had the time to snap a few pics of the Scriptorium Idyll.

I´m still trying to get used to the Pendleton point. I had expected a stub-like writing experience, but this one is without doubt a cursive italic, and thus quite a bit scratchier than I´d expected.

Inks like J Herbin Cafe des Iles and GvFC Hazelnut Brown are bone-dry and useless with this nib.

Diamine inks on the other hand work very well.

The pen itself is fantastic, and looks way better "in the flesh" (you´ve heard it before), but the writing experience is sooooo different from the other Scriptorium pen, which has a wonderful smooth and juicy medium nib. That takes some getting used to.

Please excuse the rather drab Photos.

The camera was a phone and the lightning a gloomy gathering of thunderclouds.

I just got my Diamine 150 year Blue Velvet last night. Had to ink up a couple of pens. I also decided to finally use the grey Estie. It still had the sticker on it, but since it's both a common pen and it's engraved, I went for it.

No way :D I LOVE the pen. I just have to figure out if the nib needs adjusting, or if it´s all in the ink.

But I can only encourage you to give in to the temptation.

This thread is going to lead me to financial ruin! In less than a week I've discovered 4 pens I never knew existed before to add to "the list". :o

I consider this thread the travel brochure for the slippery slope.
