Don't Just Tell Us About The Pen You're Using, *show* Us! - 2015

Dear Lord, why is this picture rotated.

I'm 19 and I am usually good at computers, but this host always rotates my pictures and I don't know why. It makes me feel 90 years old...

It does that to anyone under 20.... As soon as you pass your birthday, all your pictures will show up straight.

Haha! I'm looking forwards to that, then!

Well, it must revert back when you turn 28, because my photos rotate when I try to upload them directly from my iPad.

Then everything goes to $&@# when you head north of 50 ... I cant' upload pictures at all from my iPad.,. Maddening ...

It may depend on how you upload, and what host. I suspect that photobucket has an algorithm for auto-orientation, and it's likely looking at straight lines. I found that my background, when using vertical lines, caused everything to be rotated 90 degrees. When I shifted the background to horizontal lines, it left them alone.

Yes, it does have some spring, but mostly it is crisp.

These are similar to the TWSBIs. ArtsNibs.com has done an amazing job. He's great. I am totally in love with his work and I'm currently enamoured with this nib.

Amber, thanks for letting me know of another nibmeister. I had heard of his name but didn't really think of looking him up. I like that he calls himself "Nib Dude". I will shoot off some questions as I have some blobby nibs that could use "stubbification". :)

You know....I really don't intend on collecting, but I find myself drawn to some pens. I decided I had to do a Parker 51 Kullock, so I got this together this week. I'm still working on getting the orange cap jewel installed.

gweimer, that coral Kullock 51 is so pretty! When I see a beautiful pen I instantly think, "hmmm I wonder what ink will match that pen?". And I thought Ink of Joy for that one. ;)

I've overlooked TWSBIes for a long time now, but look what came today; a 580AL! :-) Inked up with diamine blue-black, this will be a good pen at work

I really like your handwriting, casual but very neat and easy to read. Because I didn't know what was written, I actually looked at the letters.

What is that layered wooden object next to your cup? It looks interesting.

TWSBIs are so pretty when inked. Here with Iroshizuku Ku Jaku and Chiku Rin. Both have F nibs.

Your Kujaku and Chikurin look beautiful in those TWSBI twins. These pens are addictive aren't they? I can't stop staring at the ink inside, either mine or anyone else's.

That is beautiful. Shady ink, your script, everything. Do KWZI's iron gall inks leave some coating inside the ink window, or is it really well behaved that way?

Tas, lovely cityscape. What did you use for the wash over ink?

+2!!!! Love everything about it :)

Love it.

Anyone like Ray Bradbury? Please read "The Laurel and Hardy Love Affair" if you have about 12 minutes.

You will not forget this wonderful gem that is largely obscure and sadly, forgotten. http://bit.ly/1DZtL4g

Thank you, SNAK :-)

The wooden thing is something I made as a material test. It turned out to be what I call my "inspiration bullet". Works kind of with the same magic as a child's security blanket. Touching/holding it has a calming effect, and it brings my thoughts elsewhere. Here is a photo I made of it when it was new and "unused":

Wow that is lovely, the idea behind it too. You are very clever.

Wonderful penmanship - what sort of nib/ink are you using?

Thanks SNAK.

(It's an old sketch. I've been in sketch denial recently  )

I only used water from a Pentel waterbrush although I'll sometimes run the tip of the brush along the nib to pick up excess ink if the mood takes me.

Ink was Sailor Kobe 46, for which I have migo984 to thank for introducing me to.

Catching up on old posts:

I was struck by the liveness of the eyes of this tiger, Ptero. It's coming out of the paper!
