The very first fountain pen I got almost a decade ago was a Lanbo that had a nib very similar to that one. It also had a self-flossing device.

Thanks for the information. I think I'm going to have a look on Ebay for such a pen ...... :)

@Houston - I could not have written/said that better myself. Always a pleasure to see everyones pens, whatever make, model, adaptation, or price range. This really shows us fountain penning remains active, and not in the extinction phase.

This was "The Pen" for me for 20+ years. I did all my uni work, undergraduate and post graduate degrees, wrote my journal entries over those years, and it still looks presentable. Back then the idea of flushing ink from the pen was foreign to me, when I switched colour form black to blue and back, I just let the new ink colour come through eventually after a period of mixed colour. I never used a pen case, it was always in the pen loop in my trusty old Filofax (remember those?) that I had all my life packed up in between its pages. That was way before iPhones and smartphones.

Everything changed when I found FPN about 2 years ago. I know it's the same story as everyone on this forum. My world was opened up to inks, nibs, nibs, inks, vintage pens, and more inks!

Everyone starts somewhere. This pen was my start. I still cherish it, and it will be handed down to one of my sons when I am gone. My parents had my name engraved on it so it is not going anywhere outside of my family. :)

Pen: Montblanc Noblesse (Medium) c.1990's

Ink: Private Reserve DC Electric Blue

Paper: Bung Box special "Bumpy" notepad

Love the pen, the color is pleasant, the trim is bright and I love the purplish ring by the nib. Are you training your kids to use fountain pens?

Troy

p.s. the bunny pen rest is really cute too!

I didn't realise Kiri-same is such a lovely grey. So warm and inviting. Do you find it harder to read on paper? Do you use it for taking notes etc., i.e. large chunk of text?

Yes they will be taught to use fountain pens properly. In fact my older son (8 years old) has two pens and the younger son (4) has one, although they mainly use them for drawing more than writing, especially the little one. I couldn't find the Lamy ABC that my 4 year old should have put away in his box, but here are the two that belong to my older son.

This is why I so love demonstrator pens! I can't take my eyes off that ink in the barrel. Your script and the birdie are wonderfully droolworthy as always. You are very talented. My Vac 700 currently has Waterman's #4 nib in it but it's got black ink in it so it's nowhere near as pretty as :puddle: that. Is your Hundred Year Pen nib the same size as #4? The proportion seems nearly the same as my #4 looking at your nib shot.

Thank you. One of our FPNers sells them in the classifieds. I was very lucky that a friend gave this one to me with Jowo nib.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
