Wow on the sunset. Out here, our sunsets look more like rainbow sherbert and less like flames. Thank you for sharing.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

You know you might be a fountain pen addict when ... looking at close-up, high definition photographs of gold nibs makes you feel all tingly and breathless.

Truth. I am one of those people.

I feel a little strange making a song a dance about a pen that is no longer being made but I'm sure there's still loads in circulation so, if like me you enjoy using a quality pen with the most gorgeous proportions and that's a joy to use every single time, then try to get a hold of one of the last remaining Edison Hudsons.

This Hudson feels like a bespoke pen and manages to behave in my hand, both when sketching and writing. In doing so it spends time on my desk and goes out on little trips too.

The nib is a beautiful looking large No 6 sized steel EF. It's nice and smooth with a smidge of variation if coaxed but my only gripe is that it writes like an F

I'd also like to point out how aesthetically pleasing the feed is. Look at it . . . !

Nice Edison. I love mine too.

I cleaned and re-inked the Montblanc 145. It's very stiff and boring. I'm sending it out for a regrind. :D

I've just realized what that nib reminded me of...

...a dog what tried to eat a bee!

I Finished this up tonight. This has taken about a year to piece together from ebay auctions.

Desk Duty:
Noodler's Ahab/Parker Penman Emerald Diamine Apple Glory ink
Lamy Safari medium nib/Parker Quink Red ink
Franklin-Christoph 02 broad nib/Diamine Lavender ink
Franklin-Christoph 65 Desk Pen broad nib/Diamine Magestic Blue ink

Pocket/Road:
Lamy 2000 broad nib/Iro Kon-peki ink

Edit: Changed out the Parker Penman Emerald ink in the Ahab to Diamine Apple Glory. The Ahab nib does not do the shading of PPE justice.

I'm always terribly embarrassed to post in these threads. I should just post the pens and leave it at that... (or failing that, practise my handwriting more dutifully).

This is from a former 'I don't know anything about pens' box lot on ebay. Refurbed, polished lightly, new sac. Nib needs to be replaced or worked on. Scratchy.

Very nice. I hope it writes as good as it looks.
