Ink: Private Reserve Sherwood Green

Paper: Piccadilly sketchbook (A4 size, 110gsm cartridge paper)

Others: Wörther Green Shorty clutch pencil with 3.15mm 5B lead

What a vibrant combination!!!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Hi 00Photo,

your videos are always impressive, thanks for showing it :)

Thanks Snak, Line for you kind feedback, I´m glad you like it :happyberet: :bunny01: :happyberet:

Hi Line,

"Long time no see" is quite an understatement.

What happened?

Eagle desperately missed Seagull :yikes: and I missed you too.

You were the root cause why I started to draw initially :D

The rose gold furniture on this pen is really just so lovely -- with a warmth that I just can't capture in a picture.

Today something quick, an ink drawing, my interpretation of the Raccon theme in the Lohan book.

Title: Racoon
Paper: Clairefontaine Dessin 160g/m2 A4
Material: Fountain Pen Ink
Effort: about 1 Hour

(Serwex MB Flex EMF ..... ESS Registrars Blue/Black)
(Pentel Brush Pen)
(Pelikan Fount India)
(Noodler´s Golden Brown)

@Snak

Here is my first impression of Pelikan Fount India which I received today.

The color is a true (black) black, it is water resistant but when washing it you get a grey veil arround it (which is not always a bad thing, it depends ....)

When applied with the water brush it shades in nice true grey tones (not like R&K Leipziger Schwarz which gives you amazing colors when it´s getting wet).

Oh, yes! That's what it is! I'm impressed by you recognizing the pen based on the nib and the feed! Thank you; now I know what Parker model my pen is :-)

I love all my Parker 25 :)

Snak, I made it pointy when I was sanding it.

After:

Thanks for showing us the before and after photos. I like the sanded light colour of the "after" shot. Both pointy ends can well be used as a weapon!

Great details on your racoon, Ptero.

Thank you so much for telling us the first impression review on the Pelikan Fount India ink. It sounds like it is a wonderful dark black, will be good for normal sketching. When I do pen sketching I need the ink to be completely waterproof so that yellow watercolour pointed lightly over the ink line will not shift the ink at all. When I learn to use the shifted ink to my advantage these water soluble inks will be an interesting tool but until then, I will likely stick with my nano pigment inks like Platinum Carbon and De Atramentis Document inks. I have just ordered some of the new Sailor Storia nano pigment inks so I will see how they perform with watercolour.

Hi,

Today I'm using this nice green esterbrook J transitional. It's my second J and it's the first one I replaced the ink sac by myself. I also did a little polishing, just a little because the pen was in great condition. I assembled it with a 2556 (fine) NOS nib, but I didn't like it, too scratchy even after aligning and polishing the nib. I'll try 9xxx nib.

Claudewick,

I've found that the 2556 nibs often flow a lot better than the 9xxx ones, and that if you just use the 2xxx for a week or two it will adjust to your hand. Your mileage may vary.

Nice polishing job!

first post! =) my kaweco sport classic in fine. I had some golden thread and time on my hands so made a lanyard for it! Does help a bit seeing how the pen is really quite tiny and hard to find sometimes hahah. I wanted the clip but the shop i bought this from didnt have the gold ones on hand :( post-122208-0-26819600-1429715377_thumb.jpg
