If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!

Today I have another skribbling with my Serwex MB.

It´s inspired by the exercise "Rough Stone" in the Lohan book.

Cheap joke, but you rock! :D srsly ;)

+1 Attila beat me to it! :lticaptd:

@SNAK - This is a Rhodia desk pad, with dot paper, the dimensions are 16.5 x 12.5 inches. also comes in graph paper. :yikes:

Wooot! Never even heard of it before. That looks like a convenient size for some projects. I'll go and see who carries it. Thanks Troy!

Also, SNAK, I am totally in love with that Conway Stewart herringbone is so so so gorgeous. I'm drooling over here!

Thanks Saskia, I am enjoying this pen a lot as it's a really smooth stub that almost writes on its own!

Wonderful drawing!! Which black ink did you use for the line drawing?

I am trying to find a perfect waterproof black/grey ink for the job. Noodler's Black isn't reliable under washes for me. So far I've tried Platinum Carbon Black and De Atramentis Document Black. I would like to try Super5's black next when I get it in.

I use most of the times ESS Registrars Blue/Black (I like the slight blue hue when it gets really wet (only if the paper is heavily sucked with ink) from the non iron gall dye component of the ink).

But I also want a real black, so I ordered Pelikan Fount India. I will let you know when it arrives and I did some testing,

Hmmmmm... Don't you hate it when you.... I cannot actually remember.. I know it was one of these three... suspect that it is the Noodlers as it is my most oft used. For me it seems to work well..

I am glad I am not the only one with brain farts on which ink I load into my pens.

...and that is precisely why I keep it in my FPN signature. At least once daily I ask myself which ink I'm using, and have to look it up.

New today is an Edison Collier —Persimmon Swirl celluloid— with broad nib. Just for fun, I mixed up a "Poppy Orange" ink made mainly from Diamine Poppy Red and Rubinato Arancione ink. I may need to tinker with the mix a little more.

Great combination!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

@dcpritch: thanks for your kind words. I have a bottle of PR DCSSBlue ink stuck in our postal system here. Cant wait to ink up a pen (or a few) with it. Such an amazing blue.

Sad but true, I have too many inks. Not enough time to use them all. I am worried i may open a couple and there be a science project growing inside the bottle.
