I love the goldfish!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

A long time ago and far away (the previous thread, in fact) I posted before, and meant to post again. But man, you folks move fast. I promised myself I'd make the effort to get here within the first five pages though, so here goes. Forgive the focus, or lack of; I was in a hurry.

Pretty sure this aquatic customer should have a blue hood, but I rather like the black.

And another thumbs up for the Preppy 0.2 from me; total bargain if you're looking for a really fine line.

Cheers, Al

What fun - though I don't go for hooded nibs, seriously I would like one of these.

Mind you, let's be honest, that goldfish is a pretty cheesy idea! But I love the eccentricity very much.

[Edit] I sent this on to my brother who will enjoy it I think. I then started reflecting on this kind of product that originates in a closed society. It occurred to me that perhaps we ought to have a design thread: how about the West (i.e.us) putting out the hand of friendship to North Korea and designing a fountain pen for them? It would of course be called "The Kim" which name would fit easily on the enormous 22 carat gold nib (this of course would be the model for the leadership). The plebs might be permitted the half-size miniscule steel-nibbed job - or at least be allowed to join the waiting list... :happyberet:

All the best

Is it cheesy that I was sad that the gold fish didn't move? If I thought I could wear these and still type, write or be taken seriously, I would have them

That is a lovely pen. Where did you find a Pro Gear Realo demonstrator? Who did you order it from?

Wow.

My Uncle had one of these, only it was a ballpoint . . .and it had a lady in a bikini, that slid off when inverted.

I've definitely peaked too soon with Comrade Fishkie; much more prosaic today, but still more than I ever thought I'd spend on an FP when I started - now how many of us have said that...

And what I'm actually using the Decimo for: learning French, which always defeated me in school. Arguably it's still defeating me now, but I'm plugging away hoping that the power of writing it all down will help it stick.

Bigeddie, you are not helping my current hankering for a Sailor at all. Didn't know they came in silver; very lovely.

Cheers, Al
