Recently I decided to try to grind a standard Jinhao #6 nib down to Fine or EF. For the effort expended, the time taken, and the cost involved, I was extremely pleased with the result. Full story coming up elsewhere on the FPN soon.

Wow - that is good work, brave too!

David, I love the Polish pen.

This is Thistle in a TWSBI.

Amber, is that the small stub on the twsbi?

Everyone has been using Polish ink (which is amazing by the way!), but how about a Polish pen?! I'm using my Wiland today along with a well known German pen, both filled with American ink.

Happy New Year everyone!

I want to say how enjoyable it is to share this hobby with all of you, and how very much I appreciate the friendliness, camaraderie and skill on display here every day. You are awesome!

The Polish pen is just as beautiful as the Polish inks or even more so!

Very nice grind there! Congrats!

I LOVE the Wiland. How do you like it? They seem to have great designs....pricy?

Doug, the Wiland is really something to behold. It is completely hand made and is exquisite, the presentation box is actually hand made as well, and the nib writes like a dream. I know they are on the pricey end, but with a Wiland you actually get what you pay for.

Pretty surprising for this amount of money! I had no real expectations, but they certainly know something at Platinum! No wonder why you have three ;)

Tringle: No the grip is plastic, but it is comfortable. I like it. I am surprised that a pen that only cost 15 € is that great.

The ink came with the pen in an unlabeled bottle, I don't know what it is! :)

A long time ago and far away (the previous thread, in fact) I posted before, and meant to post again. But man, you folks move fast. I promised myself I'd make the effort to get here within the first five pages though, so here goes. Forgive the focus, or lack of; I was in a hurry.

Pretty sure this aquatic customer should have a blue hood, but I rather like the black.

And another thumbs up for the Preppy 0.2 from me; total bargain if you're looking for a really fine line.

Cheers, Al

That is so cool.....ingenuity and creativity at its finest in the pen world. How do you feed the goldfish? LOL
