That looks advanced. Are all those four coffeemachines?

The four things are from the left,

Coffee grinder

Coffee grinder (for decaf coffee only)

Espresso Machine (double boiler)

Water softening filter for the espresso machine

One of my other hobbies/pleasures is coffee (various brewing methods, roasting beans, blending), so when I heard that Pelikan was coming out with a pen with coffee colour scheme I just had to get it. It is my favourite small and light M200 size too so I was super happy, and the pen is just as expected.

Pen: Wahl Eversharp Gold Seal Ringtop, Rosewood RHR (medium oblique nib)

Ink: Iroshizuku Tsukushi

Paper: Tomoe River (white)

Everything about that pen is gorgeous, including the patina on the nib. Don't try to get rid of it!

I'm also interest in nice brown inks. I have a sample of Iro Tsukushi in my desk, I believe. Next time I refills somethin, I'll pull it out, although, alas, whatever I refill will not be as beautiful as that pen.

I am really glad you like them. The lot was actually placed on one of my chopping boards. I wish I had a big table made of end grain wood like this.

oooh I thought it was a table of some sort, never the less its still a very nice design, and a table would be fantastic.

:) It's a portafilter or group handle from my coffee maker. The pen kept sliding off of it so I had to resort to using a little bit of kneaded eraser to stick the pen to it in the end.

Ding ding ding! You're right!

Nice, very nice. Double boiler is the most sensible option.

I see you've got yours plumbed in - mine is similar to yours, but my wife put her foot down at having holes/tubes on her work bench.

Pen is beautiful.

Welcome back - you were missed!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

I don't know what chemical reaction is causing patina on that nib (I wonder if it's the brown ink thing), but it always comes back within a few days even when I used to polish and clean it off. Now it's part of the character of the pen so I don't bother.

All Iroshizuku inks that I have tried have great flow so they will make your pen feel nicer to write with. I am sure you will enjoy Tsukushi too. It's the redder of the two browns they do.

Pen is beautiful.

I have the drip tray plumbed and have the drain pipe come into the sink next to the machine, and the water is poured over so my setup is technically not really plumbed in. Same reason as your wife's. But in my case I'm the wife and the setup is in the walk-in pantry so they can be closed off if needed along with dirty serving trays etc.

May we see what pens and inks you are using lately?

Wow the demonstrator came back looking great.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I can see I'll have to take some photos, but until then, a Pelikan M800 green with a fine nib. Ink is Kon Peki.
