Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I like your fringed ink cloth! How long have you been using this one for?

Mine has random circle marks from wiping the bottle opening all the time, in addition to wiping section and nib. I wonder if I should stop wiping the rim of the bottle each time I open ink bottles? I have an OCD fear that if I don't wipe the opening clean the bottle cap is going to seize on me and I tend to waste a lot of ink just by wiping and soaking it up.

Today (and for the rest of the week), I'm using:

Waterman Expert II, left oblique CI - Private Reserve DC Electric Blue

Waterman Hemisphere, Medium - Diamine Oxblood

I just got the expert ii back from my favorite nibmeister, Pentangeli. It's my first pen with a left oblique CI nib. It's pretty fun to use. :)

The marbling colours on those pens are really pretty. Could we please see your new oblique nib and your writing sample? I am always curious to see the nibs.

@Kelly41. Lovely pen

Here's my pen of today. A Lamy Safari with a F nib. It's the Germany-Japan friendship pen. The notebook came from Barnes and Noble, which I'm using to count birds for Project FeederWatch.

The ink is Edelstein Amber.

Edited to add photos.

@Kelly41. Lovely pen.

Thanks it's a Japanese maki-e

I'd never heard of the technique before but fell in love with the pen and then had to learn about how it was made, I've seen a few others I'd like so I think I may have a slight addiction. This one writes so smooth it really does feel like writing on glass. I've got no idea who the maker is but I love it

This is so beautiful. The shading is to die for. And of course your crisp lines. What paper did you write on?
